A family portrait illustrates all the possible combinations of six persons’ changing positions within one composition. The calculation can be expressed in this way: 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720 combinations. The mathematical formula is used to highlight the staged character of family portraits. The photo session was shot in one day and took 12 hours.
